1. Who We Are
StairliftChoice.co.uk is operated by Haven Marketing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
We operate a lead-generation service that allows people interested in stairlifts to submit an enquiry which may then be passed to a relevant stairlift provider.
StairliftChoice.co.uk is not a stairlift manufacturer, installer or retailer. We do not ourselves supply or install stairlifts.
For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Haven Marketing Ltd is the Data Controller for personal information collected by Haven Marketing Ltd through this website.

2. What Data We Collect
When you submit a StairliftChoice enquiry, we collect information needed to process that enquiry.

- Whether you own your home, are a council tenant, or rent the property privately
Technical and Service Information

- Browser or device information
- Security and anti-abuse information
- Website interaction and referral information where applicable
- Technical information associated with processing and recording your enquiry
Cookie Preference Information
Our website stores your separate Analytics and Advertising preferences, together with the date of your choice, in your browser. The cookie manager does not itself send those preferences to Meta or create a stairlift enquiry.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To process your stairlift enquiry — including receiving, validating and managing the information you submit.
- To connect you with a relevant stairlift provider — so that the provider can contact you to discuss your enquiry and potential stairlift options.
- To operate and protect the service — including website security, fraud and abuse prevention, troubleshooting and technical administration.
- To monitor and improve the service — including assessing service performance and the quality of enquiries and provider delivery.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations — including maintaining records where required.
- To respect cookie preferences — including applying your saved choices for optional Analytics and Advertising technologies.
Marketing: submitting a StairliftChoice enquiry does not by itself mean that you have agreed to receive unrelated promotional marketing from Haven Marketing Ltd. Any separate marketing activity requiring consent would require an appropriate additional choice.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Consent — Article 6(1)(a)
Where we rely on consent, this includes processing and sharing information you submit so that a relevant stairlift provider can contact you in connection with your enquiry.
Consent to optional Analytics or Advertising cookies is a separate choice. Declining these optional categories does not prevent you from submitting a stairlift enquiry. Where optional tracking is enabled, we use it only when there is a valid basis to do so and, where required, after your relevant consent.
Legitimate Interests — Article 6(1)(f)
We may rely on legitimate interests for appropriate operational activities such as service security, fraud and abuse prevention, technical administration, monitoring and improvement of our service.
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out lawfully before the consent was withdrawn.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Enquiry data — retained for up to 2 years from submission.
- Email and communication records — retained for up to 1 year.
- Technical and security logs — retained for up to 90 days.
Information may be retained for longer where this is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, comply with a legal obligation, or deal with an active complaint or data-rights request.
When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised as appropriate.
7. Cookies and Optional Tracking
StairliftChoice.co.uk uses essential browser technologies for security, service operation and storing your cookie preferences.
Our consent popup offers separate Analytics and Advertising choices. Both are off by default. You can allow one, both or neither. Selecting Essential Cookies Only declines both optional categories. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the Cookie Policy, and the website asks you to make a fresh choice when the saved preference expires.
Current position: our Marketing Tracking Controller can load the Meta Pixel only when the Advertising category is allowed. If Advertising is declined or has not been allowed, Meta advertising tracking is not enabled through this controller. When Advertising is allowed, the browser Pixel may send PageView and confirmed Lead events for advertising measurement. Meta Conversions API is not currently configured to send StairliftChoice enquiry events.
For details about browser storage, consent controls and how to update your preferences, see our Cookie Policy.
8. Your Rights
- Right of access — you can ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Right to erasure — in applicable circumstances, you can ask us to delete personal information.
- Right to restrict processing — in applicable circumstances, you can ask us to limit use of your information.
- Right to data portability — where applicable, you may request certain information in a structured and machine-readable format.
- Right to object — you may have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
To exercise a data-protection right, contact [email protected]. To change or withdraw optional cookie permissions, use the Manage Cookie Preferences button on our Cookie Policy page.
We will normally respond within one month. We may need to request additional information to verify your identity before processing a request.
Information already shared with a provider: if an enquiry has already been passed to a stairlift provider, we will deal with any obligations that apply to Haven Marketing Ltd. Because the receiving provider may separately control information it holds, you may also need to contact that provider directly regarding its own records.
9. Data Security
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
- Encrypted HTTPS connections for information transmitted through the website
- Access controls restricting personal-data access to authorised systems and personnel
- Website and network security controls
- Cloudflare security and traffic-protection services
- Monitoring, logging and security-review processes appropriate to the operation of the service
If a personal-data breach occurs, we will assess it and make any regulatory or individual notifications required by applicable data-protection law.
10. International Data Transfers
Some service providers used to operate websites, communications, security or other technical services may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take steps intended to ensure that an appropriate transfer mechanism or safeguard is used where required under UK data-protection law.
